She Vanishes in the Air is an interactive theatre game that challenges the audience's perceptions by exploring the impact of cancel culture on artistic creation. The game, which lasts for one hour, is inspired by the mysterious case of a woman's disappearance. Three artists have joined forces to create a politically correct reconstruction of the story, which the audience can engage with through an app, from which they can cancel, vote and choose one of the hypotheses.
Performed by Jenny Johns, Steve Hay and Lorena Briscoe.
Sound landscape and live music performance: Mark Taylor
Please note that during this performance audience members will be instructed to close their eyes. This may result in disorientation or a loss of spatial awareness. Audience members with vertigo or similar conditions may feel uncomfortable. To reduce discomfort, the audience will be sitting at the time of the eye-closing and the company will give clear instructions, keep the moment brief and ensure that lighting changes whilst the audience has their eyes closed are gradual.
